The Evolen-Tapes OP 1 and OP 2 are multilayer, asymmetric plastics tapes acc. to DIN 30672 (12/2000), DIN EN 12 068 (03/1999), ASTM D 1000 und ISO 21809-3. They are consisting of a stabilized PE carrier foil, coated on both sides with permanently plastic compound on butyl rubber basis. The caoutchouc layers are on both sides soft and sticky and ensure an extremely rapid amalgamation of the overlapping tapes.

The Evolen-Tapes may be applied without primer due to the special viscosity of the inner caoutchouc layer and their especially high stickiness.

The tapes are suitable for continuous operating temperatures up to 50°C and compatible with factory coatings of PE, PP, epoyx resin and polyurethane.

Structure of the system OP 1 and OP 2:

  • 4 layers Evolen-Tape OP 1 or OP 2 (2 wraps with 50% overlap each)

Attention! Our coating systems are not suitable for the sealing of leakages in media transporting pipelines, but exclusively for the prevention and protection from corrosion.
