The coating system Testo® B 80-C / B 50-B is a coextruded, two-tape system according to DIN 30 672 (12/2000), DIN EN 12 068 (3/1999) and ISO 21809-3 (12/2008) with DVGW-reg. no.DIN: NV-5180CL0227 and DVGW-reg.no.ISO: NV-5181DM0066. The Evolen-tape B 80-C is used as inner wrap, the Evolen-tape B 50-B black is used as outer wrap.

The coating system Testo® B 80-C / B 50-B is a cold applied corrosion protective system. It is used for the coating of buried or immersed pipelines of low-alloy ferrous material, for the site applied coating in the area of the welded seam as well as for the repair of mechanical damages in factory coatings of PE, PP, EP, PUR and bitumen. Due to its high mechanical strength and its low water vapour and oxygen permeability, the system Testo® B 80-C / B 50-B is a reliable corrosion protective system. The coating system Testo®B 80-C / B 50-B is suitable for permanent operating temperatures up to 50°C. It is compatible with factory coatings of polyethylene, polypropylene, epoxy resin, polyurethane and bitumen. DVGW-reg.no.ISO:

Structure of the system:

  • Testo® primer S
  • two layers Evolen-tape B 80-C (1 wrap with 50% overlap)
  • two layers Evolen-tape B 50-B (1 wrap with 50% overlap)

  • Coating DIN EN 12068 - C50
  • Coating DIN 30672 - C50
  • Coating ISO 21809-3, type 12-1 (up to 50°C)


  • Attention! Our coating systems are not suitable for the sealing of leakages in media transporting pipelines, but exclusively for the prevention and protection from corrosion.
