The system Testo® C 50-C is a corrosion protection system acc. to DIN 30 672 (12/2000) and DIN EN 12 068 (03/1999) with DIN DVGW-reg-no. NV-5180AU0480.

The Testo®-tape 1,2 H, made of butyl rubber and containing a foil that avoids overstretching during the application, is used as inner wrap. This foil ensures that the tape can not be easily overstretched and additionally it improves the protection against mechanical impacts. The Evolen-tape PE-0,5, asymmetrically coated with butyl rubber on both sides serves as outer wrap.

The system is used as corrosion protective coating for buried or immersed pipelines and fittings with operating temperatures up to 50°C for high corrosive and mechanical stress and for the site applied corrosion protective coating in the area of welded seams and t-pieces as well as the repair of mechanical damages in factory coatings of PE, PP, EP, PUR or bitumen.

Structure of the system:

  • primer Testo®-S
  • Testo®-tape 1,2 H, 2 layers (1 wrap with 50% overlap)
  • Evolen-tape PE-0,5, 2 layers (1 wrap with 50% overlap)

  • Coating EN 12068 - C50
  • Coating DIN 30672 - C50
  • Coating ISO 21809-3, type 12-1 (up to 50°C)


Attention! Our coating systems are not suitable for the sealing of leakages in media transporting pipelines, but exclusively for the prevention and protection from corrosion.

Special advantages:

  • the outer wrap grows completely together with the inner wrap and itself
