The Vogelsang-Shrinkable Sleeve FSM C 50 is a shrinkable wrap-around sleeve acc. to DIN 30 672 (12/2000), EN 12 068 (03/1999) and ISO 21809-3 (08/16) with DIN DVGW reg-no. NV-5180BS0100), developed especially for the coating of already installed flange joints. It consists of a cross-linked stabilized polyethylene carrier foil. The inner side is coated completely with a permanently plastics mass on butyl rubber basis. For an increase of the mechanical resistance we also deliver with the sleeve a protective inlay made of cross-linked polyethylene. The sleeve serves for the corrosion protective coating for buried or immersed pipelines and fittings with operating temperatures up to 50°C. As the sleeve serves for the coating of flange joints, extensive modifications of the cross section require high shrinking rates. Frequently the sleeve serves to guarantee a secure site applied protection for flange joints. Furthermore it protects the screwing from corrosion, so the system guarantees a joining that is detachable without great effort even after years. The sleeve can adjust the diametrical difference between flanges and pipes.
